Ca’ Momi Enoteca Hosts Acclaimed Pizzaiolo Roberto Caporuscio

Photography by Ca' Momi Napa Valley.April 22, 2014, Napa Calif.—Dario De Conti, Ca' Momi owner, winemaker, and pizzaiolo, hosted famed Pizzaiolo and Restauranter Roberto Caporuscio at Ca' Momi Enoteca last week. Roberto is currently the U.S. President of the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani (APN) the Italian governing body that teaches the art of Neapolitan pizza making. During his time in Napa Valley, Roberto held a series of cooking demonstrations for the kitchen staff at Ca’ Momi  during his special four‐day visit.

Caporuscio and Ca’ Momi both share a dedication to the preservation and celebration of truly authentic recipes.  “Our recipes and cooking techniques have been passed down through many generations,” explained Dario. “To keep those flavors alive, we as chefs have a responsibility to be generous with each other. Both Roberto and I understand that, and honor that.”

Caporuscio established three successful pizzerias until ultimately settling in New York City in 2009, where he opened Kesté Pizza and Vino on Bleecker Street, followed by Don Antonio by Starita. Rated “#1 Pizza in New York” by New York Magazine, and “Best Pizza” in the State of New York by Food Network Magazine, his restaurant, Don Antonio, was also named in the top 25 “Best Pizza Places in the US” by Food & Wine Magazine.

Ca' Momi to Partner with Michael Franti for Upcoming Soulshine Tour






April 2, 2014 - This Summer Michael Franti & Spearhead, will launch Soulshine - a concert tour that incorporates music, yoga, art and a healthy, sustainable, active lifestyle. SOJA, Brett Dennen and Trevor Hall will be joining the North American Tour along with Special Guest Yoga Teachers, such as Canada’s Ryan Leier. The 30+ city tour kicks off on June 19th in Southern California and will make its way across North America, ending in Nashville, TN at the Woods at Fontanel on August 2nd.  

With a collective reach of over 90 million impressions, the four bands: Michael Franti & Spearhead, SOJA, Brett Dennen and Trevor Hall, come together for a tour that embraces their passions and love of music, dance, yoga and sustainability.  Soulshine will be affordably priced, offering activities to keep people of all ages entertained throughout the day and night.

Each afternoon on the Soulshine tour will begin with a mass yoga and acoustic music jam with Michael Franti & Friends, led by some of today's most inspiring teachers from across North America, including Ryan Leier.  The yoga session is designed for people of all experience levels, ages, shapes and sizes and will feature artists participating side by side with fans. Michael Franti has been practicing yoga for over 12 years, having appeared in numerous publicans such as Yoga Journal, Origin, Mantra and Yoga magazines. The tour will be incorporating yoga studio networks across the nation and inviting the founders, teachers and students of the studios to the shows to support the tour, share the lifestyle and have fun. Italian-rooted and Napa Valley based winery and restaurant brand, Ca’ Momi Napa Valley, has come on as the official wine sponsor for the tour, sharing in the philosophy lifestyle of sustainability, authenticity and mindfulness, local and organic foods presence in both business and personal interactions. Passionate and inspirational, Ryan Leier brings a creative energy to every class he teaches; whether in his own One Yoga studios or as an ambassador of yoga to communities around the world. Equally devoted to continuing his studies as to teaching, his distinct expression of ancient traditions touches his students’ hearts. Ryan’s innovative spirit has led him to create Vinyasa Yoga for Youth, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through the practice of yoga.

The afternoon Yoga and acoustic music jam will give way to the full concert in the evening.  The concert itself will feature unforgettable moments from four of today’s most passionate, authentic and incredible live acts. 

Michael Franti & Spearhead have earned a reputation as one of the most electrically charged and ultimately unforgettable live acts in the business. Michael Franti has sold over 2.5million singles of his hit song “Say Hey (I Love You)” and has charted his albums in Billboard’s Top 40 along with frequent appearances on David Letterman, Leno, Conan, Oprah, Ellen and CNN. Franti & Spearhead released the acclaimed album All People last year and have been touring ever since.  Franti is recognized as a pioneering force in music as a vehicle for social activism. Not only is he a singer-songwriter-guitarist and philanthropist, he has also diligently created and supported numerous environmental, humanitarian and social causes. Northern California’s Brett Dennen’s 2013 album, Smoke and Mirrors, may be the folk-pop singer-songwriter's strongest effort yet. Led by the cheerful, hook-heavy single "Wild Child," Dennen's fifth album shifts gracefully from lilting, breezy pop ("You Make It Easy") to heartfelt balladry ("Only Want You"). The nostalgic "When We Were Young" is also worthy of a listen; its simple, upbeat message urges maturing rock fans to turn up their radios and stay forever young. Dennen was named by Rolling Stone magazine as an “Artist to Watch” and, in 2008, Entertainment Weekly called him one of its eight "Guys on the Rise.”

Trevor Hall realized at a very young age that music was more than just a passion. As an eleven year old, playing harmonica beside his father in the cradle of the weeping willows of South Carolina, music quickly became his most intimate companion, guide and creative outlet. Trevor quickly broke through the music scene, with such early accomplishments in his career as having a song recorded on the Shrek the Third soundtrack, as well as joining a series of sold-out tours with artists such as Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Matisyahu, Michael Franti and Colbie Callait.  Trevor’s self-titled debut album debuted on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart at #7 in 2009, he was named one of the Top 20 New Artists by Music Connection magazine, in 2010 MTV named him one of the twenty emerging artists for 2010, and in 2012 CBS used his hit “Brand New Day” for the promo of their CBS This Morning show. The Ca' Secco Bellini

Sometimes the day calls for more than just sparkling. When combined with a juice or essence of your choice, Ca’ Secco can make for a great cocktail for such an occasion! Try one of our own favorite recipes- The Ca’ Secco Bellini.


Ca’ Secco Bellini
Adapted from the Famous “Bellini” Recipe: (est. Venice 1948)


2 ripe pureed white peaches (or peach nectar)

+ 1/4 ounce simple syrup

+ 1/4 ounce lemon juice + 16 ounces of chilled Ca’ Secco



For each serving, pour 2 to 4 tablespoons of the desired fruit puree into a Champagne flute. 
Slowly pour in Ca’ Secco to fill. Gently stir to blend.
